Casting Nation’s Newest Partner!

July 1st, 2009
Casting Nation, the newest and best casting site on the web, is extremely pleased to announce a cross promotional partnership with one of the world’s premier acting schools, The Beverly Hills Playhouse. For those unfamiliar with the BHP, it is a 40 year old school in Los Angeles with a reputation for training actors who are not only talented, but also bring an unparalleled professionalism to the stage and set.

This partnering was created to let the industry know that when it’s dealing with Casting Nation, it’s dealing with industry professionals whose only concerns are getting the right actors seen for the right jobs and getting that done with integrity.

Casting Nation will be the primary recommendation for online protfolios for BHP students and in return Casting Nation will be recommending the Playhouse’s classes in LA, NY and San Francisco (opening in September 2009). It is hoped that in the near future they will also be co-sponsoring seminars around the country.

The BHP has trained some of the finest and biggest names in entertainment and these same artists have won every kind of award imaginable from Tonys to Emmys to Oscars.  Michelle Pfieffer, George Clooney, Giovanni Ribisi, Jenna Elfman, Jorge Garcia…these are just a few of the dozens of actors who have studied at the Playhouse.  To learn more about the BHP, please go to www.bhplayhouse.com

Updates

June 1st, 2009

Dear Members,

Well, May turned out to be a huge month.  Not only did we get our first 250 members on schedule, we received a ton of suggestions and adjustments from everyone including the casting directors we’ve been talking to.

As a result of all this imput we have already added the following features:

-You may now mark your Portfolio as ‘Private,’ which means only registered casting directors will be able to see your portfolio on this site.  We designed it primarily for our under eighteen members, but anyone can use it!

-The Casting Calls to which you submit are now automatically marked that you’ve already sent in to that particular project.

-You can also look at ALL the Casting Calls to which you’ve submitted.

-Once you submit a project you will be taken back to exactly where you were before on your Casting Call list.

And in the first two weeks of June we will have added:

-Video & Audio Uploads

-Casting Call searches by Zip Code!

-Major projects for Summer & Fall

We should also have a few surprises…

Bottom line?  Casting Nation is working hard to make this the simplest, most effective and most user friendly site on the web.  If you have ANY suggestions or comments we would truly love to hear from you.

Casting Nation…Our vision, your site.

Casting Nation ‘Goes Public!’

May 1st, 2009
After several months of technical and design work, Casting Nation is now open to general public.  Thanks largely to the efforts of Andrew Yermilov, Yogita Sabale and Nadine Todosenko we have the beginning of a great site.  And because our first 250 beta test members have been so great with feedback and suggestions there are even more great features on the way.  For instance, video and audio uploads should be available by May 15th.

Now a big part of being available to the general public means it time to start charging for our site.  As the first 250 people are aware, their free lifetime memberships are our thank you for helping us get started.  However, there are still great deals to be had!

For the next 250 people to sign up they will get their first three months FREE.  If they sign up for the 6 month or 12 month program they will get their service for less than $6.50 per month!  Try finding that anywhere else on the web.

Mo’ Better Casting

Now that we have an initial base of members we are going to turn our ace casting director developer loose.  Jeff McMurtry, Director of Casting Management is your best friend on the site.  Jeff is an expert at identifying potential projects, hunting down the casting directors and convincing those directors to use our services.  In the past Jeff has landed Lost, Prison Break, Revolution Road, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and just about every movie filmed in Louisiana in 2006 & 2007 (except Benjamin Button.) If you hear about anything going on in your area you think we should know about be sure to let Jeff know at castdept@castingnation.com

Time to Join Casting Nation!

March 30th, 2009

Castingnation.com has launched its new site. As of now you can set up a portfolio, search for casting calls and submit for thosecastings…FREE!

That’s right, for a VERY limited time you can sign up for this new premium casting service and the first 250 memberships are free for life.

Why are we doing this?

It’s very simple. We think the idea of a legitimate nationwide talent base and casting service is way overdue. While there are several fine localized (NYC, LA, etc.) casting websites, it seems all the nationwide services are either run by amateurs, stupidly expensive, outright scams or all of the above.

Members will have the opportunity to attend local seminars on landing jobs in the industry as well as other aspects of the industry. Some seminars will be aimed at beginners, while others will be for the professional.

Our management has been helping artists and non-artists alike to achieve a piece of their dreams for almost twenty years. We have helped cast actors and extras on The Dark Knight, Burn Notice, Prison Break, Lost, and many, many other film and TV projects.

Our Standard membership will only be $9.95 per month. No set up fees, no ‘if you want to upgrade…‘ and no hidden fees.

And we so believe in what we are doing to such a degree that we are willing to let the first 250 members sign up are free for LIFE. The next 250 people to sign up will receive their first 3 months FREE.

So come join us!
